Workflow Enactment Engine
This is an engine proposed and developed by the University of Melbourne, Australia. It is provided as an execution environment for
xWFL workflow language . The main characteristics:
- utilizes resource discovery using Globus MDS and so-called Grid Market Directory
- it applies a workflow language translation just before the scheduling phase (the workflow document is being transformed to a set of tasks, dependencies...)
- it uses a tuple-space concept during workflow enactment as a mean to handle and respond for execution events
- it employs just-in-time scheduling strategy
