This week I extended the Glossary, which now contains a list of 93 often-used terms from the Grid workflow domain. This work has mainly been done within the CoreGRID project (deliverables D.IRWM.09 and D.RMS.10). Please feel free to extend and modify the list by yourself! If you do not have editor access to gridworkflow.org yet, no problem, just ask me (bassheide).

Call for Papers: WaGe08

j.chen announces the 3rd International Workshop on Workflow Management and Applications in Grid Environments (WaGe08), May 25-28, 2008, in Kunming, China

The workshop papers will be published by IEEE CS in the conference proceedings. Selected papers will be published by a special issue in Journal of Computer and System Sciences. The deadline is January 10, 2008.

Workflow Workshop on the German e-Science Conference 2007

During the German e-Science Conference 2007 the Instant-Grid Project organizes a Grid-Workflow workshop with hands on exercises regarding workflow orchestration using the Grid Workflow Execution Service (GWES). The main workshop language will be German, however we can switch to a bilingual approach if we have international participants. More information is available at the Conference Workshop Page.

Grid Workflows on the Hannover Messe 2007

At the Hanover Fair 2007 Fraunhofer FIRST presents together with the Fraunhofer Grid Alliance the project Enterprise Grids, which demonstrates Grid applications in several business domains such as pharma, automobile, media and finance.

Fraunhofer FIRST will demonstrate the Grid Workflow Execution Service, the D-Grid Resource Description Language, as well the Grid Live-CD Instant-Grid in Hall 17, booth C60.
