SDSC Matrix is a Grid Workflow process management system developed by San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC). Matrix provides the protocols and software infrastructure needed by interorganizational data management services to create, access and manage processflow pipelines. Matrix uses the
DGL (
Data Grid Language) which can be used to describe, query and control processflow pipelines. Multiple projects from multiple federal agencies like NIH, NSF and NARA have expressed interest in this effort. This is an opensource research effort. When this page was last updated, Matrix 2.1 was released to the public.
The SDSC Matrix project is supported under GriPhyN umbrella.
